Heritage Stables is located on Heritage Drive, a scenic road winding along the beautiful Rideau Canal. The 5 km stretch of Heritage Drive was voted a wonder of Lanark County for its stately stone homesteads and early barns, some of which rank among the earliest architectural structures in Lanark County.
Overlooking the historic Rideau Canal, Heritage Stables is less than a 40 min drive from Ottawa, the nation’s capital, and the U.S.-Canada border. Located only 3 km from Merrickville, a village that has officially been dubbed Canada’s Most Beautiful Village by Communities in Bloom, and with more designated heritage buildings than any other Ontario community of like-size, Merrickville is a unique and vibrant Victorian village to visit after your stopover here at Heritage Stables.
Heritage Stables offers many services including boarding, horse training, riding lessons and trail riding. In the near future we hope to be available for wedding and venue rentals. Our own wedding, held here at Heritage Stables, was featured in the May 2014 issue of Horse Canada.
Please feel free to contact us at anytime if you are interested in anything Heritage Stables provides. You can also visit our Facebook page for more additional information and pictures.
